If you have seen Mr Studd and he has recommended a surgical procedure under General Anaesthetic, our team will call you to make a date for surgery within 5 days of your consultation.

Depending on the recommended surgery, it could be at Wakefield or Southern Cross Hospital on varying days of the week; this will be discussed with you during the phone call.

Information about your surgery, estimate of costs and anything that needs to be completed prior to your surgery (pre-operative bloods, prescriptions etc.) will be sent out to you 3 weeks prior to your surgical date.

An estimate of costs will be included in your hospital admission pack.  If you require an estimate quicker than this please email "" to obtain an estimate.

Your surgery will require a prior approval from your insurance company (Please see insurance/payment for more information).

If you are with Southern Cross or NIB insurance we may be able to apply for your prior approval for some cases, our team will advise you of this.

Before your surgery

Before you undergo surgery with Mr Studd you may be required to do some pre-operative tests.  These could include blood and urine tests, an ECG or other tests recommended by Mr Studd.

Our preoperative nurse, will complete an assessment prior to your surgical date.
